A fun, eclectic restaurant in Denver, Colorado needed updated photos for their menu and site. Bao Brewhouse and a local PR agency hired me to bring this vision to life. Focusing on the lived experience and eating out and hanging with friends, I wanted these photos to seem natural and authentic.

I liked the idea of documenting dinner like a messy still life, shooting action moments and capturing the deconstruction of plated food. I wanted to do a different take on food photography, something real, something raw. Anyone can take a photo of a perfect dish, but a chaotic mess is more intriguing.

Photos were shot and edited to reflect the moment, with pops of vibrant color, and motion blur to convey feeling. This collection was used for social channels, website, and menu images.
