While working in Key West for 3 months back in 2021, a property that needed landscaping had an amazing house complete with a basketball court. With a wall of palm trees and this seafoam green court color, I loved seeing it on the job. Before I left the Keys I made sure to photograph the court.

Ever since this first court shot I’ve started to looked twice at basketball courts and their surroundings; slowly collecting images of courts from around the world. Now, everywhere I go I try to get a cool court photo to add to my collection. Through this series it’s fascinating to see the difference in environments through the imagery of a court. From Iceland, to LA, to Brazil, there’s something so unique about the way each place designs their basketball courts. Different destinations allow for a variety of colors, shapes, and locations in which we see them.
