electric city(s)
Traveling the world and learning about other cultures is my biggest passion in life. New environments make me pay attention in a way nothing else does. Details that would go unnoticed at home suddenly feel worth stopping for in new places. Like electricity, I come alive soaking up details and experiences most people walk past.
I love watching the way humans and environments interact, not just visually, but through energy and a kind of subconscious feeling a place gives off. Not every photo here has a person in it, but every place has been touched by human presence in some way. Through this work I explore the relationship between people and the places they inhabit.
This series is less a project than a practice, years of travel distilled down to the frames that stuck. It documents both famous landmarks and lesser-known corners, landscapes, public spaces, and everything in between. Photos treated as postcards of lived experiences shaped by how I was moving through them at the time. These are my favorite travel photos from years of shooting around the world, whether taken in Chicago, Vietnam, Paris, or somewhere I couldn't find on a map beforehand.
