Le Meridien brought me in to shoot the opening of their Denver property alongside 54 Thirty, the hotel rooftop bar. This was event photography in its purest form, string lights, skyline views, a crowd enjoying a brand new space. I leaned on my background in live events to work the room without getting in its way.

The goal was candid, not staged: guests toasting with cocktails, conversations catching mid-sentence, the bar filling up as the sky changed color behind it. Light direction mattered here as much as timing, since the whole point was to capture what it actually felt like to be there on opening night.

The hotel used the images across their website and social channels, and select shots were printed for use inside the property, including on the back of the elevator doors for a striking reveal on the ride up to the rooftop.
