CREATIVE CRIBS

ELLIE NONEMACHER | episode 2

For this month’s edition of Creative Cribs down in cap hill Denver, do you know Ellie Nonemacher? She’s a lovely woman with a passion for fine lines and pops of color. From her hair to her apartment, everything Elli touches becomes design gold…. (and pink).

When thinking studio apartment, spacious is the last thing that comes to mind but she makes it look easy. Like her creations (drink and booze photos) her environment is minimal with bright accents, and with a degree in Interior Architecture it’s no wonder everything is perfectly placed. Goals are Cocktail and booze food & bev photographer.

Her strengths in arrangement and design come to handy in a spacious studio apartment. She has a background in architecture and graphic design which is apparent in her perfectly placed spacing between items on the wall, just like her object placement in her photos.

She specializes mostly in prop and food styling. Her M.O: clean lines, shadows used to add to the design, perfectly placed props, and pops of color. Although she has color, the overall tones of photographs remain bright and airy. Her apartment is the same. There are pops of bright, pastel colors while the overall ambiance is light and open.

One thing I really admire is her attention to color (obviously) and how most photos keep a monochrome theme. The planning involved to make sure everything looks casual, although it was specifically curated, is a talent most take for granted. This woman has a thing for placement.

It’s so interesting how a person’s home can do accurately echo their expressions. Check out her photos, her work and IG at @macherstudio.
